Last year, I have focused more on experimenting with new materials, exploring new techniques and digging into topics which fascinate me. The New Years' card was one example, another one is this project.
This poster was designed to promote the Collapse exhibition which took place in the Bac Art Lab in Leuven, Belgium to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Big Bang Theory (which was, by the way, developed by a catholic priest in Leuven, Belgium).
Once again, after working with risography, I worked with a technique and material I always wanted to work with, but never had the opportunity to: Screenprinting – in combination with holographic cardboard.
In this article, you can see the process of how it was produced. Starting from cutting the cardboard; exposing the layout through a foil to the screen; preparing the frame; to eventually printing.
In this article on my website, you can find more detailed photos of the final result (taking photos of a reflective surface is fun, but also challenging at the same time).

One more note:
The holographic effect and illustration are not simply nice to look at, they are also references to the Black Hole Information Paradox and the Black Hole Event Horizon which is related to the Big Bang Theory.
